Regional Campuses

The three Regional Campuses use special signatures that designate each campus while maintaining their strong relationship to the central University.

The urban campus academic signature consists of two elements: the logotype, which is the words Washington State University and the location of the campus set in the official ITC Stone Serif typeface, and the symbol, which consists of the letters W, S, and U arranged to form a Cougar head, framed by a crest that is accented by a chevron. The signature serves to identify the Regional Campuses in all forms of communications, and its use preserves the integrity of the University's reputation for academic quality, innovation, and leadership in higher education.

The tagline signature combines the academic signature with the tagline "World Class. Face to Face." Set in the official ITC Stone Serif italic typeface, the tagline communicates the core message of the University's marketing campaign. This signature must be applied to all print and electronic communications published by the University with the exception of stationery and business cards.

When applying the tagline signature to printed materials, the tagline and signature never should be separated. On the Web only, the tagline may be separated from the signature in order to increase its visual impact.

Use only authorized artwork when reproducing the tagline signature. This ensures proper and consistent size and space relationships between the tagline and the signature.

A shortened version of the academic signature is available when the regular or tagline signature cannot be used due to space limitations. The shortened version never should be used larger than two inches in width.
